Amotekun Appoints Idowu Bankole As New Spokesman
The southwest security outfit, Amotekun has named a renowned journalist and foremost Nigerian broadcaster, Idowu Bankole, as its spokesperson in Lagos. Idowu Bankole, an assistant online editor at Vanguard newspapers, would resume his new position by the end of May, 2021. Bankole is expected to engage the media often to keep Nigerians, especially those in the southwest, abreast of the successes of the security outfit. Speaking on the development, a source who would not like to be named told our correspondent that the choice of Bankole Idowu is coming as a result of vast experience in the area of security and the media. He said Bankole would bring youthfulness and experience needed on the job. Efforts to reach Idowu Bankole to comment on this development proved abortive as calls to him were not responded to.
