Lagos LG Chairman Buys Expensive Property In Ikoyi Lagos
The current chairman of Ikoyi/Obalende LCDA Hon Fuad Atanda has bought a block of flats at Adeyemi Lawson in the high brow area of old ikoyi. Even though they are old structured flats, they are worth billions due to the value of the land. He has been buying other properties within the area's like flats and estate apartments. He has been telling people that the properties belong to his wife, who just recently started a real estate firm. The question is why did the real estate firm start to buy expensive property in the area as soon as the federal government started to pay direct allocation to all chairmen. We complain about Buhari, we complain about Sanwo-Olu, but yet we allow these chairman to do whatever they want with funds meant for the masses at the grass roots. If we can not hold the ones close to us accountable, then we have no business complaining about our president or even the governors. The youths are shouting and complaining about how the old have hijacked the power, but when Fuad Atanda who is under 40 years old and probably the youngest serving chairman in lagos state, is also acting like those old thieves then are we not truly lost. All the relevant agencies should look into these allegations, and people need to speak up whenever they see gross misconduct of the peoples funds. People are suffering and a chosen few are using the funds meant for the masses as their personal piggy bank.
