Over the years, we have seen some of our southern chiefs embarrassing their people. Either out of inferiority, gluttony or sheer foolishness, they keep bowing to the northern chiefs. If they don't bow to you, don't bow to them. Respect is reciprocal. The way you see yourself is the way others will see you. There is no law that says you should bow to northern chiefs or answer their obnoxious summons. Challenge is welcome when necessary, you are not their slaves. Every chief is equal provided you have your people under you. Bow to your people, not another chief. It dispirits your people seeing their chief bowing to another chief he considered "superior." We the people feel bad and inferior too when it happens and we can't take it anymore. They won't respect or your people if you don't respect yourself.
