IBOSET Covid-19 Students Bursary for Nigerian Students (Open) The Covid-19 Students Bursary Fund (CSBF) comes from two contributing partners, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), through the Education Sector Program Implementation Grants, contributing 60‰ of the Bursary Fund; and the International Board for Offshore and Subsea Engineering and Technology (IBOSET), through her Future Development Fund (FDF) contributing 40‰. The Covid-19 Students Bursary Fund provides a temprary monthly financial support to Nigerian students in low- to middle- income households who are experiencing difficulties catching up with their educational pursuits due to imposed economic hardship brought by the pandemic and to mitigate the impacts that school clossures have on the most vulnerable students and families; as well as building the resilience of our future education. Number of Prospective Student Beneficiaries Under the CSBF, not less than 10,000 students from average income house-holds in Nigeria will benefit from this program. Financial Assistance Provided The financial support provided under the CSBF Program is as follows: Up to NGN20,000 - NGN30,000; to applicants who at the point of application are unemployed full-time postgraduate or undergraduate students. To be eligible for this fund, applicants: Must be a Nigerian citizen Must be an undergraduate or a graduate student studying in a Higher Institution of learning in Nigeria Must be between the ages of 16 - 35 years. Must possess a valid nationally recognised Identification and an Admission Letter. Processing Time All applications are processed as they are received and payment commences at the end of the month of your application and for up to a minimum of 3 months. [b]2021/2022 IBOSET International & Local Scholarships for Masters and PhD (Open) The International Board for Offshore and Subsea Engineering and Technology is accepting applications from suitably qualified citizens of the Nigeria for 2021/2022 International and Local Scholarships. Field of Study Environmental Science/Management Law (Coastal/Marine/Maritime/Offshore) Pure/Applied/Social Sciences Number of Scholarships The scholarship currently provides funding for relatively large number of students. Duration of Scholarships Normally, the financial support given will not exceed a time span of three years for PhD Programmes and two years for Masters level; for both local and international applicants. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants: Must be a Nigerian citizen Should typically have a Second Class Upper and above at the First Degree level (candidates with Second Class Lower of not less than 3.00 CGPA and upwards of 3 years of relevant work experience may be considered) Should not be more than 40 years by December 2021. International scholars must be willing to return to their home country, Nigeria to contribute to national development on successful completion of the programme. PhD candidate must have started their Doctoral Research Programmes prior to applying for the IBOSET PhD Research Grant in addition to the above. What IBOSET Scholarships covers Full tuition One return ticket Monthly allowance for textbooks/study materials, workshops and fieldtrips. Monthly living/accommodation allowance. Research grant One return ticket; for international scholars Monthly allowance for textbooks/research materials, workshops and fieldtrips. Monthly living allowance. We recommend you have copies of the following documents to hand: Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume¸ Certificates and/or transcripts for qualifications you have completed Valid Identification - Driver's License, National ID or Passport(preferred) A recent passport-size photograph A good Statement of Purpose (Not more than 2,500 words) or Research Plan (for Masters (R) and PhD Candidates) All applications must be received online by our administrative entity, EBASE SOLUTIONS GLOBAL LTD, by May 31, 2021. Shortlisted candidates shall be contacted with details of further qualifying criteria on or before June 20, 2021.
