Uber And Others Loses Case In Court
Recently Uber was taken to court in UK over drivers' welfare and the case was judged in favor of the drivers.
Can this apply to the thousands of Uber drivers in Nigeria? Nigeria with its huge population is a huge and profitable market to Uber and others like it. However, the thousands of drivers who make money for Uber are not well catered for. No protection or welfare like hospital or accident coverage for these drivers. These drivers are being casualized which is against ILO law. Something needs to be done. These our drivers should be protected because lots of families are dependent on them.
We need to speak out especially bringing to public glare drivers who were involved in accidents and attacked by armed robbers or with serious health challenge(s) and have received no help from Uber, Bolt etc.
Let them speak out by sharing their stories.
