Although it is a common dish, you can agree that it is mostly prepared commercially; only a few people make egg rolls at home. Before we get into all the details, let talk about one of the most important ingredients used. Let’s talk a little about Eggs Eggs contain several vitamins and minerals that are essential parts of a healthful diet. In many parts of the world, eggs are readily available and affordable. It consists of a protective eggshell, albumen (egg white), and vitellus (egg yolk), contained within various thin membranes. The most commonly consumed eggs are chicken eggs. The egg yolks and whole eggs store significant amounts of protein and choline and are widely used in cookery. Eggs are not just rich in protein, they also contain antioxidants, Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. Which has a valuable contribution to our daily nutrient requirements. They are a good source of choline, which helps build membranes and is particularly important during pregnancy to support healthy brain development. Eggs contain high-quality protein that helps to build and repair cells and tissues, eggs also help in vision and eye health care due to the presence of a chemical compound called carotenoids. EGGROLL PREPARATION Groundnut oil Wash your hands with soap and water, put on an apron. Wash all cooking utensils and make sure the cooking environment is clean. Get a clean bowl, add flour, salt, sugar, yeast, margarine, and mix. Break an egg into the bowl, add water and mix to form a sticky dough. Place the dough on the rolling board, knead by sprinkling with flour for 2-4 minutes until the dough is smooth. Cut the dough into different portions (depends on the number of eggrolls you want to prepare). Use the rolling pin to roll out the dough, place the boiled egg in the middle and cover with dough, use your hand to mold until it’s a smooth round ball. The process above should be done for all the remaining dough. Pour groundnut oil into the frypan and allow it to get hot. Place the egg rolls into the oil and let them fry until golden brown on both sides. Make sure you flip both sides and see they are ready. Place the egg roll in a sieve to drain the excess oil. Serve your egg roll with chilled juice or yogurt.
