Eastern Traders Ban Sale Of Palm-oil, Plantains And Gworo To The North.

70

Feelers coming from the East indicate that executive members of Coalition of East Palm producers, food stuff dealers and basket producers have held an emergency meeting to ban the trade and transport of Palm Oil, plaintain, kolanut and gworo to the North which are all produced exclusively in the rich savannah south and cannot grow in the North. Sources indicate that it is not unconnected with the incessant issuance of threat by Northerners to Southerners over food transport and sales. According to Mrs Rose Damien, an exco memeber of the traders, "the serial issuance of threat by north by their political farmers can no longer be condoned and we are asking them to go to hell". "They should also go with their cows and fulani herdsmen terrorist, so that our people can go to farms and be self-sufficient". The south is rich and can be self-sufficient even if this country disintegrates." Efforts to reach the Chairman of Northern farmers groups and Miyetti Allah kautal hore for their reaction proved abortive as at press time. More information later....
