Notarization Of Gift Deed

Hello All, How are we doing? Please I will need your assistance here, I am applying for a study visa to Canada and due to a sum received into my account, a Deed gift and LOE has been prepared for me by my Mum. Now the issue is that, she is in Canada at the moment for a visit and this was clearly stated on the LOE. We want to Notarize this Deed gift. Can I go ahead and Notarize it here in Nigeria??..... Or must the Deed gift be Notarized in Canada, because my Mum is presently there I really hope I get assistance and advice here. Many thanks
