On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari blasted Nigerians, saying they are "very forgetful" about his administration's "achievements" over the last six years. Buhari also accused the members of the House of Representatives of misappropriating the nation's fund, saying that if their legitimate limits and expenditure are to be worked out, they will all be exposed. Buhari stated in an interview broadcasted on NTA on Friday evening that his administration has tried, since taking office in May 2015; adding that those who choose to criticize him should do so objectively. When asked about his government's anti-corruption efforts, Buhari stated that his administration had done a good job of prosecuting corrupt lawmakers. “Nigerians, I think, are very forgetful. I am very pleased that the majority of Nigerians think that this administration, under the circumstance, is (sic) doing their (sic) best but people who misappropriated funds are elected members either at the state or federal level.
