APC STATE CONGRESS: Assessment picks Dr. Charles Chukwu as best Candidate for Enugu Chairman An independent body working for the interest of the ruling political party, APC has concluded its three days Pre Congress Assessment in various States where new leaders are expected to emerge. The assessment which was one of the major activities of the party in a view to evaluating the strength and popularity of candidates contesting for various positions in the party structure went fruitful as results showed that the ruling party still upholds it’s political grounds. The group, APC- Progressives Minded Group (APC-PMG) made it known through a communique signed by Prince Boluwaji Adeyemi Qudus, it’s Head of Operations in Abuja and sent a copy to Hon Mai Mala Buni the APC Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) dated 13th October 2021. The group in the communique highlighted parameters at which led to the acceptance and popularity of the Awgu born business mogul and party faithful. Sightings that the winner of the opinion poll, Dr. Charles Chukwu is a youth developer, consistent party supporter whose candidacy will unify and unite the party, facilitate empowerment and his involvement during the 2019 general election where he played a vital role in the reflection of President Muhammadu Buhari as a Member of Presidential Support Committee (PSC), National Coordinator of Progressives Youth Movement, Member of APC Presidential Campaign Council as Member of Support Group Committee among other numerous involvement from National to state. Lastly, that his candidature will put an end to disintegration and ensure the grassroots propagation of the APC ideology in the State following his antecedents. The APC-PMG Head of Operations, Prince Boluwaji Adeyemi Qudus concluded by urging the National leadership of the APC to do everything possible to avoid faction, imposition of a Political jobber unacceptable by the State party leadership or unpopular candidate as the Chairman to avoid more harm on the party, infiltration of “Fence sitting politicians” and controlled by the main opposition party in the state.
