The check up (2 Cor 13:5 kjv) “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 1. Check if you are really saved. You need a check-up once in a while. 2. When was the last time you prayed for God to give you grace to go through things? Christians don’t pray anymore, they only complain. Always pray for grace. If you don’t get along with your husband or wife, pray for grace to forgive him or her. 3. When was the last time you thanked God for disappointment? Can you take disappointment better now than you did years ago? What a terrible thing to be saved for many years and not be able to take disappointments & heartaches & discouragements & sorrows any better now than you did couple of years ago. The trouble with Christians is that they don’t grow in grace. These are little things. Little foxes spoil the vine. Little things affects the big things. 4. A Christian life is like a man standing in front of a mirror and going from glory to glory, one image to another as by the Lord (2 Cor 3:18 kjv). We are to be conformed to the Lord’s image by beholding ourselves in a glass. We are examining ourselves in front of a mirror. The mirror is the word of God. 5. Check your spiritual temperature sometimes. Can you still praise the Lord in the midst of a bad day? 6. When was the last time you opened your Bible (KJV) and ask the Lord to show you the truth whether it’s good or bad? 7. When was the last time you gave love to somebody? I mean real love (charity). Charity is a handout. Love is giving. You may be able to give without loving, but you can’t love without giving. 8. When was the last time you stick your neck out for the Lord? 9. When was the last time you encouraged a new convert? 10. When was the last time you helped an unsaved person? 11. Examine yourself. Are you reflecting on the image of God? 12. Bob Jones Sr. once said “sin doesn’t leave any man any better than it finds him.” 13. The best time to get saved is when you are really young. Get saved today. I've already created a thread on how to get saved.
