Repelling Laziness Through God's Knowledge
Today is another good day for you to receive the blessings of God through the word of God. God of heaven I thank you for blessing the readers of this Preaching, I pray this Preaching will bring blessings and deliverance into the lives of your people in Jesus Christ name I pray Amen. TODAY TOPIC : REPELLING LAZINESS THROUGH GOD'S KNOWLEDGE 2 THESSALONIANS 3 : 10 - 12 10 While we were with you, we used to say to you, " Whoever refuses to work is not allowed to eat." 11 We say this because we hear that there are some people among you who live lazy lives and who do nothing except meddle in other people's business. 12 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we command these people and warn them to lead orderly lives and work to earn their own living. The word of God, which you will read and study today will give you God's knowledge to repel the laziness the enemy is bringing your way. Laziness is one of the weapons which Lucifer and his agents are using to oppose and fight the people of God. Praise be to the God of heaven, the God we serve is not Lazy. God is saying to his people stop be lazy. It is not good for a Christian to be lazy. God want Christians to be hardworking so he can bless them. Say to yourself ; I will never live a lazy life. Laziness is a dangerous thing that can cause harm and confusion to people and bring about misfortune. When a person is lazy it is very difficult for such person to get what he or she desire. During this harvesting periods the hardworking farmer harvest his crops and he is happy because his hard work was not in vain. He sell his crops and he becomes rich. But the lazy farmer is always sleeping, the lazy farmer love farming but the love of sleeping will not let him take his farming very serious. He will say to himself tomorrow I will go farming because it is planting period but when tomorrow comes he says to himself, I am tired I need to have little sleep, and then after a little folding of the hands to rest, then he sleep. When he woke up it is night already, he says to himself what have I done, I will not have a little sleep tommorow because I must go farming, it is planting period. Tommorow comes he prepare to go to farm but say to himself I must have a little sleep before going to farm, he then sleep. Then this lazy farmer continues this habit till the harvesting period. Then the lazy farmer saw the hardworking farmer coming home with his harvested crops. The lazy farmer screamed what have I done to myself now, look how laziness have allowed poverty to come on me like a theif and scarcity like an armed man. The lazy farmer regretted his laziness but it was too late for him because it was harvesting period. He would not be harvesting any crops. PROVERBS 19 : 15 Be lazy if you want to; sleep on, but you will go hungry. It is time to stand up against laziness. It is time to speak up and let laziness know that you can not be a friend to laziness. To overcome laziness you need to pray to God to help you overcome laziness and be hardworking and have a good plan to achieve your good goals. There were two business men, one of the business men was hardworking while the other business man was lazy. The lazy business man have a goal to make profit of 200,000 naira by the end of the year. But the lazy business man was not serious with his business. He goes to his shop very late; by 12PM he is in the shop and close his shop by 3PM. He does not come to his shop always, he goes to his shop two time in a week; Monday and Thursday. When he is in the shop, all he does is to sleep. He has no plan on how he can achieve the profit of 200,000 naira before the year end. And when customers comes to buy his product in the shop he insult and disrespect the customers. He never bother to pray to God to help him achieve his plan goal to make 200,000 naira profit by the end of year. The year was over, he said to himself what is happening, why am I not making progress in my business. I think someone is jealous of me and does not want me to progress in my business he looks up and down and shake his head. Then he sat down on the chair in his shop and decided to think and remember how he has been doing his business. He reflected with sadness on his unsuccessful business plan goal and realized that his laziness was the cause of his downfall but it was too late because the year is over. But the hardworking business man also have a goal to make 200,000 naira before the end of the year. The first step the hardworking business man took was to pray to God to bless his plan to make profit of 200,000 naira before the end of the year. Then the second step he took was to make a good plan on how to achieve his good goal of making 200,000 naira before the end of the year. Then third step was for him to take action by been hardworking and by following his plan. The hardworking business man goes to his shop on time as early as 8AM he is in the shop and close by 5PM. He goes to his shop five times in a week from Monday to Friday. He have respect for his customers and talk to them politely. He advertise his business on Newspaper, Radio, Television Stations and Internet. When he is in the shop, he does not sleep, but lookout for customers to buy his product. By the end of the year he was so happy because he achieve his business goal. He was able to make profit of 600,000 naira. He was expecting profit of 200,000 naira but because of his hard work he made more profit than he expected. PROVERBS 12 : 27 If you are lazy, you will never get what you are after, but if you work hard, you will get a fortune. PROVERBS 16 : 3 Ask the LORD to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out. God of heaven want to bless his people but because of the laziness of some people of God, their blessings are delayed. The laziness becomes obstacle to their blessings. Every child of God can overcome laziness if they can learn to pray to God for help, make a good plan to achieve their goal and be hardworking in whatever they do. Laziness can not overcome a Christian who is determine to work hard. Hard work will help you to get what you want. If you want to be successful in life you have to say NO to laziness and say YES to HARD WORK. Do not allow yourself to be distracted, stay focused on what you want and work hard to achieve it. Laziness refer to when a person can not get what he or she want because the person were unwilling to take action. While Hard work refer to when a person get what he or she want because the person was willing to take action. God loves his people and want them to be successful in whatever they do. ROMANS 12 : 11 Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion. For you to receive the blessings of God you have to become one Of the people of God by been born again. If you are not yet a born again, know this God loves you and Jesus Christ love you. JOHN 3 : 16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For you to receive the blessings of God, you have to be born again by repenting from your sins and believe in God as your creator and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Pray with the prayer below. I thank you God of heaven for the forgiveness of my sins, I thank you God for giving me eternal life. I repent from my evil ways. I believe in you God of heaven and accept your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I confess that Jesus Christ is my Messiah. Thank you God for making me a Citizen of the kingdom of God. Thank you God for blessing me today and for giving me the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ name I pray Amen. Praise God, you are now save and you have become one of God's people. Find a church close to your home and attend church services always. Ensure to buy a Bible and study your Bible regularly. Also ensure to pray daily; pray in the morning when you woke up from sleep and pray in the evening before going to bed. Learn to pray at all times. Devote yourself to Christian religion and do not be Lazy in worshipping God. EPHESIANS 1 : 15 And you also became God's people when you heard the true message, the Good News that brought you salvation. You believed in Christ, and God put his stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised.
