FG Must Grant Blanket Amnesty To Bandits For Peace To Reign — Sheik Gumi

This, according to the cleric is the requirement needed to be met by the government for peace to reign in the country. Gumi stated this in a brief interview in Minna, Niger State shortly after he met with the gunmen believed to be abductors of staff and students of Government Science College, Kagara. Recall that the school was attacked on Tuesday night. One student was killed in the process. Sources said that Gumi met with the armed men on Thursday night between Tegina in Niger State and Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State. Earlier in the month, the cleric had met with gunmen across forests in Zamfara State, appealing to them to drop their arms.
