Ronaldo's Captain Arm Band Raises €64,000 To Foot Medical Bills Of A Sick Kid

The recently concluded international break was one with a lot of notable events and occurrences, one among which is what happened in Portugal's world cup qualifiers encounter with Serbia on the 27th of March. Although Portugal started the lead at 2:0, the game ended 2:2 after Serbia's comeback. Ronaldo's 90+3 minute goal which was clear to many was cancelled by the referee, and Ronaldo in a fit of rage warded of the pitch throwing away his Captain armband in the process The armband was however picked up by a stadium worker, and was later obtained by a charity organisation who put it up on auction to raise money to foot the surgery bills of a 6 month old boy from Serbia with Spinal muscular astrophy. ESPN FC reported earlier today that the arm band has now raised €64,000 (about 28.6 million naira).
