I noticed your argument with someone here concerning luck ........ I think it's all about the definition. It depends on your definition of luck. When you consider luck as the chance of being successful or the chance of getting what you consider as your gain, then you won't say luck doesn't make you successful. Another issue is what you consider as beneficial..... what you see as success may be different from what another person sees as success. Some people say taking an opportunity means you're hardworking/successful....BUT what's an opportunity...? If you earn 15,000-25,000naira per month and you see the vacancy of a 10,000naira job with no allowance or additional stuff, would it make sense for anyone to say you're lazy because you didn't accept it?? Which person that is not under the influence of destructive substances or depressed or seriously and critically physically ill would reject a better job offer that doesn't require spending money on transportation/accommodation Remember that if the person could afford transportation and accommodation ,then the person won't need to change from one job to the one that requires spending money on transportation and accommodation.. If someone is under the influence of destructive substances or depressed or seriously critically physically ill, then the person can't have the chance of being successful because he or she is in a state that wasn't chosen ..... such a state is unfortunate and it makes the person incapable of earning something noteworthy. Nobody chooses to be depressed or overwhelmed by substances or critically ill ......if the person commits suicide,it means the person was depressed which is a state in which a person is overwhelmed mentally......no matter your definition of psychology/psychiatry... Hardwork is just the effort you put while you exist ... nobody exists without hardwork. So, what's my point?? My point is your hardwork is whatever you do for as long as you're lucky/successful to some extent.....in other words, that you exist means you're lucky/successful to some extent as your hardwork is not in vain but it's just to some extent because when a person is suffering from certain things,we would have to consider the person as unfortunate ..... If the person's problems overshadows his or her existence such that he or she looks so unhealthy.....then , the conclusion can be taken as the case of an unfortunate person who is so close to death. The closer you're to death, the less successful you're or the lesser your luck......so less that you're said to be unfortunate because your luck is negligible.......... Would you like to know about my case?
