In 1956,contested against his own father,Alvan Ikoku, in the election to the South Eastern House of Assembly and won. His father accepted the result,backed him for re-election in 1961. In 1979,our revered leader, Ajibola Ige defied Chief Obafemi Awolowo and contested against his elder and leader, Pa Emmanuel Alayande in the party primary and won. Osinbajo will be running on his own credentials of capacity and capability. Those credentials are not contestable." Maybe history as they say will repeat itself.
